The last few days I have been reading on my couch....because I fell and sprained my ankle pretty badly while walking my new dog a few days ago.  Yikes!  I hope it gets better soon because I miss my fun walks with Cora.  (Pictures of the pup to come soon!)

Hi Everyone!  It's summertime!  I'm ready with my lawn chair, stack of books, and sunshine!!  Are you???

Ella meeting her favorite author, Jessie Haas!

I know lots of you have been reading great books this summer, and one of you even got to meet her favorite author!!  Jessie Haas is the author of many chapter books about horses (Ella's favorite!), picture books, and even the newest American Doll books about Saige.

We are going to be studying several different authors this school year, and we all will be working on our own writing as we become authors ourselves!

Enjoy your last few weeks of summer vacation!  And keep reading!!

Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Steuwe were caught reading some of the new Red Clover books!!  I think they thought they could get away with it because of their disguises....but we've seen those mustaches before!
